Osteopathy is a safe and natural approach to healthcare based around improving biomechanical function to aide recovery and alleviate discomfort.
 
The title 'osteopath' became protected by law from 9th May 2000 and as such osteopathy is recognised as a primary healthcare profession, so you do not need to be referred by your doctor. To use the term Osteopath that practitioner must have completed a four year degree course and satisfied regulations set down by the General Osteopathic Council (GoSc)

An osteopath is trained to diagnose your problem and will refer you to another health-care practitioner if necessary.

Sports Massage

Reducing diverse types of chronic pain
Sports massage was originally developed to help athletes prepare their bodies for optimal performance, recover after a big event, or function well during training. Sports massage emphasizes prevention and healing of injuries to the muscles and tendons.

You don't have to be and athelete to benefit from sports massage. Sports massage is also good for people with injuries, chronic pain or restricted range of motion. The massage therapist generally concentrates on a specific problem area and works outwards to take effect on possible predisposing issues.
